  • Safety

SAFETY is met by strict adherence to a 4:1 ratio. The environment of the room is such that the children are never exposed to the many hazards often found in their routine home environment. Under no circumstances is a child ever left alone.

  • Health

Mt. HEALTH: concerns are met by strict adherence to the Mt. Top Kids Health Policy which has been formed in conjunction with the ECELS HEALTH PROJECT and the American Academy of Pediatricians. Staff is instructed in proper methods of diapering, sanitizing, and First Aid Training. Cribs and toys are washed daily, and a cleaning service is employed to scrub down walls, windows, floors, and large play equipment.

  • Emotional

EMOTIONAL: concerns are met by assigning each child to one major caregiver in the room. Thus each child is given ample time to develop a bonding relationship with a special adult. This also affords parents the opportunity of directly communicating with one person in regard to the special needs of the child. A crying baby's needs always come first. The staff is encouraged to hold children, to talk to children, and to respond to their needs in a warm, loving manner.

  • Stimulation

Mt. Top Kids Preschool is a progressive program that follows an approved Early Childhood Curriculum centered around monthly themes, which promotes; positive self esteem, learning self control, communication skills, socialization, listening skills, math concepts, memorization for children ages three, four, and five.

  • MT. TOP KIDS provides:

A crib for each child which belongs to that child alone. ALL formula and baby food until the child reaches one year of age at which time they are transitioned onto table food, and diaper wipes.

  • PARENTS bring:

Diapers, bibs, two complete changes of clothing, two crib sheets, light blanket, heavy blanket, and baby bottles. Please label all personal belongings.
